I can't stop eating..

My cat Kato... is hurt?
by Jim_TX inmy cat kato... is part siamese.
he is usually a clown... and attacks me in the morning as i walk down the hall to the shower.
silly cat.. well... some weekends, i leave him at home alone - while i go visit my aunt for a day and a half.

Jim, cats are great, aren't they? And they can be so mischevious. As I write this, I'm soaking in the bathtub (thank god for my wireless notebook) and my cat is standing on her hind legs leaning into the tub, wacking her paw at the water. A few minutes earlier, she pushed the shower curtain and liner into the water. Her brother is curled up in the bathroom sink with his head and paw resting on the rim.
She and her brother can be a handfull sometimes, but I wouldn't trade them for anything in the world! They're there for me everytime I walk in the door to greet me with a cheerful look and a brush against my leg. And someone said this on another posting earlier in the month - that we as a group can appreciate, more than many others do, the unconditional love that animals show - and I think that is so true!
Glad Kato is ok - I was afraid to read your post for a second.

When you read what else are you doing?
by Panda inok usually i'll be drinking iced tea when i read... sometime coffee if i read in the am.
i've tried reading while mr.panda is watching tv but that doesn't always work.
so what do you do while you read?

I have an idea . . . and forgive me if this has already been suggested
by cruzanheart init always annoys me to see the latest copies of the watchtower & awake!
magazines when i go visit my mom at the nursing home.
i don't feel comfortable throwing them away, since it's not my "house" but i feel the need to make a statement.

What grammatical errors bug you the most?
by poppers infor me it's the use of : .
it's as a possessive - it's means "it is", so if you don't want to say "it is" don't use the apostrophe.
there are others that bug me but this one is the worst.

Poor grammar drives me mad! Here are a couple more:
- Prolly instead of Probably (actually, this is a spelling issue)
- Use instead of Used (she use to go to the meetings, but now she does not)

favourite games to play as a child during boring meetings
by Surfacing inmy parents were both very strict, and i wasn't allowed any toys at the hall.
my rations included a copy of my book of bible stories, and a pen and note pad.
my parents were strict to the point of not allowing me to draw pictures, i had to "take notes".

I did alot of the distractions mentioned above (biting my nails, drawing, word searches in the magazines, zone out and daydream, etc.). But my favorite was seeing how long I could hold my breath. I would use my watch to time myself - I actually became pretty good. I could go for a little over 2 minutes - but had to be super careful on the exhale, because if it came out too loud, I would get the "look" from my Mom.

DAUGHTER ATTEMPTS SUICIDE TODAY, MOTHER ACCUSES ME OF . . .
by Corvin intoday i drove my daughter nancy to shool after the incident last night to ensure that she was ok. she never showed up to her first class, but took a bunch of pills she pilfered from her mother's bathroom a couple of weeks ago.
she was discovered, and i was called.
i took her to the hospital right away.

Corvin, I am so sorry! I think Blondie gave you some very good advice. You do need to stay as calm as possible so that, as the authorities try to sort through the issues, they will see you for what you are - the sane, stable, loving parent. And as much as you can, keep your daughter away from the back and forth issues between you and your ex.
Also, you may want to think about printing out copies of your posts here on JWD - where you have been talking about the issues going on. I don't know that it would be considered substantial proof, but it may be circumstantial evidence that the authorities would take into consideration.
I'll be thinking positive thoughts for you and your family. Please keep us posted.

When You are Sick

when i am sick, i like to lay on the couch with a heavy blanket and drink tea.
i miss being near my mom so she can take care of me!!.

When I am sick with a fever, I'm with Stinky Pants . . . there is something so soothing about moaning!
Usually, you'll find me either in bed watching TV or sleeping . . . or taking a long, hot bath! I've been known to spend many hours in the bath to nurse the chills!
As for food, usually nothing. But gotta have the carbonated water when I'm sick to my stomach.
